Beany Burgers

This is a good one to use up your left over rice and beans in. And those pre made beany burgers are so expensive, and full of additives, so much easier and nicer to make them yourself.

Ingredients:

Amount depends on how many you want to make so just judge for yourself. It is good to make a load of them and keep them in the fridge so you can just cook them when you want them.

So a good ratio is 3/4 beans and 1/4 brown rice. You can use any beans - butter beans, black beans, kidney beans, a mix is good. Soak and cook as normal.
Onion
Garlic
Cilantro
Salt or Herbamore
Spelt flour - other flour will do.
Other bits you have around can go in like corn, broccoli, whatever you like.

Preparation:

Just mash all the ingredients up, use a tiny sprinking of flour to help it stick together.
You can also use a bit of flax powder to help it stick if it falls apart. Taste the mixture to get it right before you cook it.
Shape it into rounds with your hands.
Then you can fry them in oil till crispy on the outside.
