Gone Vegan

Dilema

I've been vegan for only a couple months and I like how it makes me feel but lately decided that I wanted to be a vegetarian......so far, it's not working out really well.

What Vegan Chef recipes would you like to see posted?

We're awfully excited here, as The Vegan Chef (Beverly Lynn Bennett) has graciously allowed us to post a handful of her recipes to Gone Vegan. We'll be making and photographing any recipe that we post, so our question is: what recipes would you like us to try out?

They're all here: http://veganchef.com/

And we'll likely post one from each of her categories:

* Appetizers
* Beverages

Thanks for Shared Recipes

Thanks to Portland's Sellwood Garden club for kindly sharing a few recipes with us. The Club "is a grower and purveyor of ultra-local, organic-method produce to market patrons and restaurants in Southeast Portland, Cascadia and a farming service for home-owners." We love what they're doing around here!

Gone Vegan on Twitter

Gone Vegan is on Twitter now as well. This is an ideal way to keep up with new recipes (all recipes posted will be tweeted).

Any other vegans on Twitter we should be keeping up with?

Post a Recipe, Win a Vegan Cookbook

We are giving away a free copy of Veganomicon: The Ultimate Vegan Cookbook to one person who posts a recipe by midnight PST time tomorrow (Tuesday, September 8th).

How do you add a recipe? Sign up for an account and you'll see an Add a Recipe button on the right sidebar.

Looking forward to trying your recipes!

We Did It!

So, as of noon today, we are officially "launched."

This has been quite a journey. About three years ago, we launched Gone Raw. Ever since then, we've been talking about making a vegan version of that site. This week, we finally decided to make it happen.

So after a few sleepless nights, we did it!

Cuisine Suggestions

So we have a start, but we're looking for more suggestions for what could be the possible "cuisines" that a food might be. So far we have American, Canadian, Chinese, Eastern, French, Indian, Italian, Mediterranean, Mexian, and Southern.

We would love to hear suggestions as to what might be some other appropriate, relevant cuisines to include!
